POSITION SUMMARY
The Member (Server) Assistant plays a vital support role in the delivery of an exceptional dining experience for members and guests at Urbana Country Club. This position ensures that tables and service areas are clean, organized, and properly set, while also assisting servers and bartenders in maintaining smooth, attentive, and elegant service. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, professional, and eager to work as part of a high-performing team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support servers and service staff by clearing, resetting, and maintaining tables in a timely and discreet manner.
- Ensure water glasses and non-alcoholic beverages are consistently refilled throughout service.
- Deliver bread, butter, condiments, and other accompaniments as needed.
- Assist with carrying trays and food running when required.
- Keep service stations clean, stocked, and organized, including polishing silverware and glassware.
- Communicate table readiness and member needs clearly with servers, hosts, and kitchen staff.
- Follow proper sanitation and safety procedures, ensuring that dining and prep areas are always clean and presentable.
- Assist with event setups, dining room transitions, and outdoor patio service when needed.
- Maintain a professional and gracious demeanor, always presenting a positive reflection of the Club.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Prior experience as a busser or server assistant preferred
- Prior experience in upscale or fine dining hospitality preferred, but not required.
- Strong work ethic, sense of urgency, and ability to anticipate the needs of both guests and team members.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Neat appearance and professional demeanor in line with Club standards.
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and move quickly during service.
- Willingness to learn and grow within a service-driven environment.

SCHEDULE & WORK CONDITIONS
- Evening, weekend, and holiday availability required.
- Indoor and seasonal outdoor service, including special events.
- Fast-paced, detail-focused environment with high service expectations.
- Physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and standing for long periods of time
Pay Range:
$14-$16 per hour based on experience.
