What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Associate position at Urban Workshop?
DESCRIPTION
Urban Workshop is looking for an organized, sharp, and engaging front desk associate to be the first face members, students, and visitors see. This is a part-time role for someone who likes people and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly.
You're the hub of the building: greeting visitors, giving tours, checking students into class, signing up new members, taking payments, and answering the phone. That means fielding questions about everything we do, from the woodshop and metal shop to lasers, CNC, and 3D printing. You don't need to run the machines, but you do need to know what they are, who they're for, and which class gets someone started. An interest in making and a willingness to keep learning matter more here than any specific background.
You'll be joining a community of working professionals, retired tradespeople, and lifelong hobbyists who are here because they love to build. A complimentary membership is included, use the shop for your own projects whenever you're off the clock.
