Job Summary:
Urban Wellness is seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Store Manager to lead our dispensary operations in New Mexico. The Retail Store Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of store performance, including staff management, inventory control, customer service, and compliance with state regulations. This role requires strong leadership abilities, excellent organizational skills, and a deep understanding of the cannabis industry.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of retail management experience, with at least 2 years in the cannabis industry preferred.
- Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of cannabis products, strains, and consumption methods.
- Leadership: Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Compliance: Strong understanding of state and local cannabis regulations and compliance requirements.
- Customer Focus: Commitment to providing excellent customer service and creating a positive shopping experience.
- Skills: Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business management, cannabis studies, or related fields is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Management: Recruit, train, and manage a team of Budtenders and other staff members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Customer Service: Ensure exceptional customer service by training staff, resolving customer complaints, and maintaining a welcoming store atmosphere.
- Operational Oversight: Oversee daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and transaction processing.
- Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all state and local cannabis regulations, including proper verification of customer identification and age, and adherence to product handling guidelines.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, perform regular audits, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure product availability and accuracy.
- Sales & Reporting: Monitor sales performance, prepare detailed sales reports, and analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Marketing & Merchandising: Develop and implement store promotions and marketing strategies to drive sales and enhance customer experience.
- Budget Management: Manage store budget, control expenses, and optimize resource allocation to achieve financial targets.
- Safety & Security: Ensure the safety and security of the store, staff, and customers by implementing and maintaining security protocols.
