Harvest Processing Technician (ABQ)

Job Summary:

Urban Wellness is seeking a detail-oriented and hardworking Harvest Processing Technician to join our cultivation team in New Mexico. The Harvest Processing Technician will be responsible for assisting in the harvesting, trimming, and processing of cannabis plants to ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a passion for the cannabis industry. This is a full-time position, 40 hours a week. The ideal candidate can work Friday - Mon, four 10-hour shifts, and make an ongoing, standing commitment to these shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Harvesting: Assist in the harvesting of cannabis plants, including cutting down plants, removing leaves, and preparing plants for drying.
• Trimming: Hand-trim cannabis buds with precision to maintain the quality and appearance of the final product.
• Processing: Assist in the drying, curing, and packaging of cannabis products, ensuring they meet company standards.
• Quality Control: Inspect cannabis plants and buds for quality and consistency, removing any defective or low-quality material.
• Compliance: Adhere to all state and local regulations regarding cannabis cultivation and processing, including proper documentation and reporting.
• Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the trimming and harvesting areas, including sterilizing equipment and workspaces.
• Inventory Management: Assist in tracking and managing inventory of harvested and trimmed cannabis, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the cultivation and post-production teams to ensure seamless transitions between stages of production.
• Health & Safety: Follow all health and safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience in cannabis trimming, harvesting, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision.
• Work Ethic: A strong work ethic and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Skills: Proficiency in using trimming tools and equipment.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical labor, including standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
