What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child and Adolescent Therapist position at Urban Wellness?
Urban Wellness is a clinician-focused, female-led private practice in Chicago on a mission to eliminate mental health stigma by creating awareness of, appreciation for, and acceptance of mental health self-care. We strive to help members of our communities reconnect with the things that are truly important and thrive both in their own lives and in their relationships. Our team is multicultural and inclusive. Our clinicians represent a wide range of racial and ethnic groups and religions. We make wellness a down-to-earth practice starting in-house with the team that we have built.
We have three office locations in various Chicago neighborhoods; Edison Park, Sauganash, and Old Irving Park. And a newly opened office in Forest Park.

- Master’s Degree in counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy
- Active, unrestricted license (PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMFT or LCPC) in the State of Illinois
- OR Active, unrestricted provisional license (LPC, LSW, MFT) in the State of Illinois. A copy must be provided to Urban Wellness.
- Available 30 hours a week with the expectation of holding at least 25 client hours
- Work 2 weeknights or a weekend a weeknight (weeknights are identified as 4-8pm and weekend considered 6 hours)
- Committed to anti-racist work and are social justice oriented
