JOB SUMMARY:
The Resident Services Coordinator (RSC) supports residents by facilitating access to economic, housing, and social resources through broad-based engagement strategies. This role prioritizes community-wide initiatives over individual assessments, empowering residents with tools, information, and structured programming to address their needs independently or in group settings.
JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
Outreach & Communication:
- Utilize mass communication tools such as SMS blasts, emails, and flyers to distribute information about services and events.
- Maintain digital and physical community bulletin boards with job postings, financial workshops, and support resources.
- Ensure resource accessibility through self-service platforms and informational materials.
Themed Drop-In Hours & Resident Engagement:
- Organize themed drop-in hours (e.g., employment, financial literacy, tenant rights) where residents can seek assistance without prior appointments.
- Offer virtual access via Zoom or phone calls for residents unable to attend in person.
- Foster resident leadership by engaging community members in peer support roles and program facilitation.
Programming & Events:
- Develop and implement weekly or bi-weekly workshops on topics relevant to community needs, such as budgeting, job readiness, and tenant advocacy.
- Coordinate large-scale events, including job fairs, free tax preparation, and legal aid sessions, in collaboration with local organizations.
- Adjust programming based on emerging trends and resident feedback.
Community Feedback & Data Tracking:
- Collect and analyze community-wide surveys to gauge resident concerns and service needs.
- Maintain engagement logs tracking participation in workshops, referrals to services, and overall trends.
- Conduct quarterly reviews of program impact and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Prepare annual impact reports assessing resident engagement and program effectiveness.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma and some college preferred.
- Experience in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office software.
- Ability and commitment to handle privileged information in a professional and confidential manner.
- Availability to attend evening and weekend functions as required.
- Have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
- Ability to function as a team player in both internal and external relationships and be an effective communication skills.
