Position Overview: This position is part of a client-facing account team responsible for supporting the delivery and evolution of AfterSales Performance and Dealership Performance Urban Science solutions, with responsibility for managing multiple monthly web-based ServiceView systems, reporting, advanced analytics, and ongoing client support. The position requires occasional client site visits and close collaboration with client stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely, and insight-driven deliverables. Key responsibilities include, maintaining ServiceView systems, processing and analyzing complex datasets, developing advanced SQL queries and stored procedures, and producing clear, visually compelling reports and presentations that translate data into actionable business insights. The role also involves providing hands-on support across aftersales analytics tools and sustainment and project-based work, while demonstrating strong workload management, technical expertise, and the ability to effectively manage client relationships and expectations in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  This role has current Hybrid Workplace flexibility local to the Los Angeles/Orange County area and work in person in our Los Angeles, CA and client office as needed, currently two times per week (Currently Tuesdays and Wednesdays), though this may change as business needs evolve. During initial training, additional visits may be required to support hands-on learning and a smooth onboarding experience.

Pursuant to California law, the reasonably expected salary range for this position is: $87,500 - $110,670 discretionary bonus potential.  This range reflects a good‑faith estimate of the compensation expected to be offered at the time of hire.  Consistent with California law, the Company does not inquire about or consider an applicant’s salary history.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plans, organizes, develops and delivers client-requested reports, deliverables and projects on time, adhering to client requested specifications.
  • Designs, creates and manages client databases, utilizing Urban Science proprietary software, ensuring accurate and high-quality data.
  • Assists management in creating estimates and proposals for clients to better understand the proposal process.
  • Serves as a contact for, and develops relationships with, the client to effectively respond to client requests and inquiries in a timely manner and help improve client satisfaction.
  • Acquires and maintains a thorough understanding of client data for assigned projects to properly create client deliverables.
  • Tracks, processes, analyzes and verifies data to improve accuracy and quality.
  • Assume responsibility for accurate and high-quality data being utilized on assigned projects.
  • Accurately performs application coding and testing functions associated with the development of custom client software.
  • Use technical skills to accurately update and maintain Urban Science internal software systems.
  • Adheres to quality control standards for Urban Science and client organizations.
  • Coordinates with individuals or teams to complete analyses, tasks and projects on time and with high quality.
  • Attends project meetings and participates in presenting project status updates to client representatives or internal management to clearly communicate project status, conclusions and results.
  • Proactively communicates with management to provide updates and report issues in a timely manner.
  • Actively works with manager to understand and implement solutions to improve NPS (client satisfaction).
  • Partners with internal teams to ensure that software is properly installed, set up and functioning at established quality levels.
  • Actively supports and participates in required Urban Science training programs to achieve targeted development objectives.
  • Works with manager in completing annual goal setting and performance review promptly.
  • Works with manager to prioritize other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:  

 

In preparation of possible future supervisory responsibilities, this person may be called upon to do the following for assigned staff:

  • MS Office: Requires demonstrated knowledge of MS Excel for charting and graphing of data, writing formulas and utilizing functions, and filtering, sorting and formatting of data; requires intermediate knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint and Access; knowledge and experience with Visio preferred
  • Technical/Software: Must have demonstrated programming proficiency at the minimum requirement for the role (programming proficiency varies by role and may not be required in certain roles. For those roles where programming proficiency is needed, typical programming languages used may include .NET, VBA, C#, SQL, Java, HTML, SSIS and Open Source)
  • Time Management: Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple concurrent tasks is required
  • Sales & Business Development: Ability to identify potential new opportunities from the client and proactively communicate those opportunities to management is required
  • Project Management:  Knowledge and understanding of project management principles and fundamentals is strongly preferred, including the ability to estimate work efforts

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • University degree required; technical degrees are strongly preferred (i.e., engineering, applied math, statistics, applied science, information systems, operations research, etc.) from an accredited college or university, or equivalent foreign institution. Non-technical degrees will be considered if candidate possesses appropriate level of analytical and technical knowledge required for the role
  • Minimum of 4 years related work experience required (6 years' experience preferred)

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Certification of Apprentice for one practice area required (or external equivalent)
  • Certification of Consultant in one Practice area OR Certification of Apprentice in two practice areas strongly preferred (or external equivalent)
  • Urban Science Ambassador
  • Statistics 1 & Basic Statistics Assessment (or external equivalent)
  • Intro to Operations Research (or external equivalent)
