Bartender / Server Overview
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Bartender/Server to join our team. This position includes both bartending and serving responsibilities and requires someone who can work independently, stay organized during busy periods, and provide friendly, efficient customer service. Shifts are nights and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Take food and drink orders and provide table service as needed.
- Use the Clover POS system to enter orders and process payments.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
- Keep the bar, service areas, and tables clean and organized throughout the shift.
- Stock and restock beverages, supplies, glassware, and other service items.
- Communicate with kitchen staff to ensure orders are accurate and delivered in a timely manner.
- Check identification and follow Oregon alcohol service requirements.
- Monitor alcohol consumption and provide responsible alcohol service.
- Complete opening, closing, cleaning, and side-work duties.
- Assist coworkers as needed during busy periods.
Qualifications
- 21 or older
- Have a valid OLCC Alcohol Service Permit
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating drink recipes
- Previous bartending, serving, or restaurant experience preferred.
- Comfortable working both behind the bar and on the floor.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Able to manage multiple orders and customers during busy shifts.
- Dependable and able to work scheduled shifts consistently.
- Comfortable handling cash and using a POS system.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a small team.
- Must meet Oregon requirements for serving alcohol.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
