About the Role
This internship bridges real estate investment and data science/engineering. You'll work directly with our acquisitions, development, and asset management teams to build scalable systems that drive investment decisions. You will learn the full data-to-decision pipeline: engineering automated data infrastructure to analyze economic, demographic, and performance metrics across markets; building intelligent automation to accelerate deal analysis; and creating interactive models and visualizations that surface insights for portfolio strategy. Your work will directly impact where we invest and how we scale our operations.
Responsibilities
• Engineer automated data pipelines to gather economic, demographic, and performance metrics
• Analyze data using Python, SQL, and Excel to identify and evaluate real estate investment opportunities at scale
• Create interactive models and visualizations to communicate insights and recommendations to leadership
• Build analytical models to monitor market trends, benchmark competitors, and track portfolio performance
• Help prepare materials for reporting, valuations, Investment Committee memos, and debt packages
Required Qualifications
• Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program (expected graduation in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027 preferred)
• Familiarity with real estate finance, financial modeling, and accounting principles
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience programming in Python or similar language
• Understanding of databases and SQL
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience or coursework in real estate, finance, or data analytics
• Experience with version control using Git
• Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker) and Unix/Linux environments
