We are seeking a detail-oriented Assembly Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is essential for ensuring our precision-machined parts are finished, verified, and delivered to our customers in perfect condition. You will be the final link in our production chain, responsible for the "fit and finish" that defines our reputation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform both large and small-scale assemblies, following acceptance test procedures and routing operations to completion.
- Carry out secondary operations including deburring, washing parts, and utilizing laser engraving to meet technical specifications.
- Conduct final inspections and use basic math skills to ensure part counts and packaging are 100% accurate.
- Prepare parts for shipping as instructed by the Job Traveler; accurately label, pack orders, and update inventory systems.
- Maintain a clean, orderly work area and safely operate equipment, including driving a forklift as needed for material movement.
- Monitor material quality and proactively report any defective items or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
Experience & Qualifications
- A strong mechanical aptitude with a "learning orientation” you are eager to master new assembly techniques and processes.
- High attention to detail with the ability to follow complex manufacturing schedules (Job Travelers) without cutting corners.
- Proven ability to manage a steady workflow to meet daily production and shipping deadlines.
- Ability to stand for long periods, perform fine manual dexterity tasks (handling small tools/parts), and occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to read and interpret labeling instructions and assembly procedures accurately.
- Spanish/Bi-lingual preferred but not required.
