What are the responsibilities and job description for the Participant Navigator - Career Bridge position at Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle?
The Career Bridge program is designed to help individuals with multiple barriers access education, employment, and economic opportunities in career pathways to improve their quality of life. The goals of the Career Bridge program are to:
- Create an integrated system that prepares individuals to enter the workforce
- Increase access to jobs and training needed to attain good-paying jobs that provide a pathway to longer-term careers and economic opportunities
- Educate individuals about opportunities in the local labor market and how they fit in today and in the future
- Assist individuals to take actionable positive steps forward in their lives, and at the same time give back to their community
Under the guidance and direction of the Career Bridge Participant Navigator, the participant navigator will be responsible for executing and overseeing the management of Career Bridge participant intake and assessment, case management, and the participant support fund, as well as participant tracking and communications.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- 2 years of direct service case management, intake, or support experience
- 2 years of experience in job readiness, employment placement, recruiting, etc.
- Group facilitation experience strongly desired
- Proficient with MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Problem-Solver with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Experience working with re-entry and a diverse population
