What are the responsibilities and job description for the Member Service Specialist position at Urban Host Group?
POSITION SUMMARY
The Membership & Guest Experience Associate is the primary ambassador for BLEND Society. The role combines hospitality, relationship building and consultative sales. The Associate grows and retains membership, supports Society experiences and identifies qualified private-event opportunities. Once a qualified event is assigned, the designated Host/Event Lead normally becomes the primary private-event contact.
CORE MEMBERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
Introduce BLEND Society to appropriate guests without a high-pressure sales experience and explain current tiers, pricing and benefits accurately.
Complete approved enrollments and maintain accurate member profiles, preferences, renewal dates, benefit usage and referral attribution.
Follow up with qualified membership leads and maintain an organized prospect pipeline.
Coordinate member recognition and verified benefits with Hosts, servers, bartenders and managers.
Support member reservations, Society programming, Chef’s Table experiences and member events.
Monitor renewals, cancellations, failed payments and at-risk members; escalate service concerns promptly.
Track sales, conversion, recurring revenue, retention, follow-up completion and incentive eligibility accurately.
PRIVATE EVENT LEAD GENERATION
Listen for birthdays, anniversaries, showers, graduations, corporate gatherings, networking events, holiday parties and private brunch/dinner opportunities.
Introduce the Society Room and approved private-event offerings at a high level using current sales materials.
Capture prospect name, contact information, event type, preferred date, estimated guest count and key needs.
Record the MSA as the sourcing employee when the opportunity was generated by the MSA.
Transfer qualified leads promptly to the designated Host/Event Lead and make an internal introduction when practical.
Avoid parallel customer communication after the Host/Event Lead accepts ownership, unless collaboration is requested.
Track sourced leads, booked referrals and attributable event revenue in the approved MSA report/scorecard.
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
