What are the responsibilities and job description for the Furniture Delivery Driver & Warehouse Associates position at Urban Furniture Outlet?
We are now accepting applicants for delivery driver and delivery helper/warehouse positions with Urban Furniture Outlet. As a delivery driver you will be assisting with receiving and loading furniture and mattresses for deliveries. You will also be assembling of products for delivery and/or in customer homes and transporting furniture to customer homes.
- Must be professional, good communication and attention to detail, good with customers, and a team player.
- Must be reliable, good with tools, good communication skills, organized, and have good attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently while managing multiple deliveries throughout the day
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries made, get all signatures, etc
- Ability to operate a box truck, maintain cleanliness, and perform routine inspections and maintenance checks
- Strong physical stamina for lifting heavy packages and standing for extended periods of time
- Familiarity with warehouse operations: loading/unloading procedures, and equipment usage (i.e. fork lift, pallet jack, etc)
- Assembly experience - working knowledge of basic tools and ability to read and follow assembly directions for furniture set up
- Bilingual/Spanish-English speaking a plus but not required.
Additional Requirements for Driver Position:
- Clean Driving History and License in Good Standing
- Previous Box Truck Driving Experience Preferred
- Previous Warehouse Experience Preferred
- Must have good communication and leadership skills
- DOT Card Preferred
