Warehouse Lead

Urban Furniture Outlet is a retail furniture and mattress store with locations in New Castle and Dover, Delaware. We are currently hiring for a warehouse lead position at our Bear warehouse location. The Warehouse Lead will be responsible for assisting the Warehouse Manager with general operations of the warehouse including – receiving trucks, stocking merchandise, pull/load trucks for delivery and transfers, cycle counts, verification of shipments. Other responsibilities include: general warehousing activities, service calls, supervision of warehouse associates, general maintenance and upkeep of facility.

Must have good attention to detail, be a team player, possess leadership skills, reliable, and able to lift at least 50 pounds. Experience with driving box truck, proper tool usage, ability to service/repair basic furniture service issues, and operate forklift preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to Urban Furniture Outlet's daily store warehouse operations

• Pick and load orders quickly and accurately

• Receive and unload trucks

• Drive truck and deliver furniture or conduct service calls/exchanges

• Receive, check-in, and put away stock quickly and accurately

• Ability to use POS system to manage inventory

• Assist delivery teams with receiving merchandise

• Perform service calls/exchanges at customer homes

• Maintain accurate and clear paper work for service orders and receiving

• Receive PO’s in absence of Store Manager

• Assist manager with inventory cycle counts

• Supervise/train warehouse associates

• Assemble furniture for delivery/pick up/floor model

• Assist with merchandising needs

• General cleaning/maintenance of showroom and warehouse space

• Maintain service schedule for delivery truck/tools

• Communicate with store manager on any stock or product issues, supply needs

• Clean, sweep, general upkeep of warehouse areas

Qualifications:

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to handle physical workload

• Ability to multitask and prioritize

• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment

• Self motivated – complete task list with minimal direction

• Work well independently

• Computer competent

• Strong organizational skills

• Good communication skills

• Valid Driver’s License
