Urban Earth Landscaping is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee the day-to-day accounting and financial reporting for our growing landscape company.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys keeping the books accurate, improving accounting processes, staying on top of cash flow, and helping management understand how the business is performing.

What You’ll Do

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts receivable and accounts payable

• Prepare monthly profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash-flow reports

• Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations

• Manage and improve job costing to help track project profitability

• Monitor accounts receivable and assist with collections

• Manage vendor payments and accounts payable

• Assist with cash-flow forecasting and budgeting

• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes

• Maintain accurate financial records and internal accounting procedures

• Coordinate with our outside CPA on taxes, year-end reporting, and other accounting needs

• Work with management to provide useful financial information for business decisions

• Help improve accounting systems and processes as the company grows

What We’re Looking For

• 3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, preferably with increasing responsibility

• Strong understanding of financial statements, reconciliations, accounts receivable, and accounts payable

• Experience with month-end closing and financial reporting

• Experience with job costing or project-based accounting preferred

• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Excel

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to identify discrepancies and solve accounting problems

• Dependable, professional, and able to handle confidential financial information

• Landscaping, construction, trades, or field-service accounting experience is a plus
