Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products or answering questions about merchandise.
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges.
- Handle credit, and mobile payments with precision, ensuring proper handling procedures.
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities.
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to enhance store presentation.
- Assist with stocking shelves, organizing inventory, and replenishing products throughout the shift.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries via phone etiquette and in person, fostering a positive shopping experience.
- Support sales initiatives through suggestive selling and promoting ongoing promotions or new products.
- Perform basic retail math to ensure accurate transactions .
- Participate in product demonstrations for customers, highlighting key features to boost sales.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering preferred; supervisory experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer needs.
- Knowledge of grocery store operations or familiarity with retail environments is advantageous.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, walk throughout the store, and lift moderate loads as needed.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and managing inventory counts.
