Urban Country Outfitters is hiring a Sales Associate / Manager in Training! We’re looking for a customer-focused, motivated Team Member who is excited to drive sales, build relationships, and develop leadership skills.

About the Role

As a Sales Associate / Manager in Training, you’ll help deliver exceptional customer service while learning the day-to-day responsibilities of store leadership. You’ll work alongside the management team to strengthen your sales skills, support store operations, and develop the skills needed to help lead a successful retail team.

Sales & Customer Service Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming shopping experience and build lasting customer relationships through friendly, personalized service.
• Learn our products and confidently help customers find items that fit their needs and style.
• Work toward sales goals, including units per transaction (UPT), average dollar per transaction (ADT), add-on sales, and customer information capture.
• Stay informed about merchandise, promotions, and current advertising.
• Process sales accurately and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
• Maintain merchandising standards through floor moves, display upkeep, replenishment, and store housekeeping.
• Receive and process merchandise and help keep the sales floor stocked and organized.

Leadership Development Responsibilities

• Partner with store leadership to learn daily operations and management responsibilities.
• Lead by example through strong customer service, teamwork, reliability, and professionalism.
• Learn to review sales performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and support team goals.
• Assist with coordinating daily tasks and keeping the team focused on store priorities.
• Develop coaching and communication skills to help support fellow Team Members.
• Learn opening, closing, and operational procedures under management guidance.
• Follow company policies and procedures and help reinforce store standards.
• Take initiative, welcome feedback, and actively seek opportunities to grow.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Compensation & Benefits

• Starting pay of $15 per hour, based on experience.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Work involves prolonged standing and walking, bending, and frequent lifting of up to 40 pounds.
• Responsibilities include handling merchandise and operating point-of-sale systems.
• The role requires effective communication with customers and Team Members.
• Work takes place in a clean, orderly retail environment with moderate noise levels.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
