Outdoor spaces include Doyle Field, a new Little League field, along with a sports mini-pitch, basketball court, lacrosse field, three playgrounds, and learning garden.

Responsibilities
- Assume full instructional and classroom management responsibilities in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring continuity of student learning and a positive educational environment.
- Implement and prepare lesson plans, instructional activities, and classroom procedures making appropriate adjustments to meet student needs and classroom dynamics.
- Utilize effective classroom management strategies to maintain an orderly, respectful, and productive learning environment that promotes student engagement and accountability.
- Differentiate instruction and adapt curriculum materials, assignments, and teaching methods to support learning styles and academic needs, including individual, small-group, and remedial instruction.
- Develop and deliver meaningful, sequential learning experiences that challenge students, encourage critical thinking, and foster independent learning and creativity.
- Monitor, assess, and support student progress through classroom assignments, activities, and assessments, including administering and proctoring tests as required.
- Supervise students during classroom transitions, lunch, recess, assemblies, and other school-related activities throughout the workday.
- Build positive relationships with students, staff, and families while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and high expectations for student behavior and achievement.
- Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and other learning opportunities as appropriate to support instructional effectiveness and school initiatives.
- Follow and uphold all district and school policies, procedures, safety protocols, and expectations.
- Ability to build strong, positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues to support a collaborative learning environment
- Strong classroom management skills that promote student engagement and a productive learning atmosphere
- Ability to adapt instruction and support to meet student learning needs
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management abilities
- Flexibility and responsiveness in a dynamic school environment
- Commitment to fostering student growth, achievement, and overall development
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Valid OH teaching certification/license.
- Previous teaching experience in an elementary school strongly preferred.
- Prolonged periods of standing, moving throughout a classroom, and climbing stairs in a two story building.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- FBI/BCI background check required.
- $18.75 per hour with paid holidays and breaks during the school year/coverage period
