ASSISTANT MANAGER/CAFÉ MANAGER
JOB SUMMARY
The Assistant Manager/Café Manager oversees the daily operations of the café while supporting the broader venue team. This leader ensures high-quality food preparation and guest service, coaches and develops team members, and helps drive business performance. This is a hands-on role involving active kitchen and service floor engagement, guest interaction, and daily operational leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Leadership
- Oversee daily café operations, ensuring proper execution of processes, systems, and standards
- Maintain food quality, cleanliness, sanitation, and organization across café and prep areas
- Ensure accurate and timely receipt, storage, and rotation of inventory
- Support inventory management and cost control efforts
- Assist with overall venue operations, including food, beverage, attractions, and facility inspections
- Uphold a safe, clean, and secure environment for guests and staff
- Participate in operational meetings and training sessions as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager
Team Leadership
- Lead, motivate, and support café and venue team members
- Train employees on all café menu items, food prep, and FOH responsibilities
- Develop schedules ensuring appropriate staffing levels and coverage
- Hold team to high standards of punctuality, performance, and professionalism
- Identify, coach, and grow team members for advancement
- Support execution of recognition and incentive programs
- Model company culture and ensure consistent delivery of exceptional guest service
Guest & Communication
- Handle guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Maintain positive communication with leadership and team members
- Promote a culture of fun, accountability, teamwork, and excellence
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college preferred
- 1–3 years hospitality management experience (F&B, QSR, entertainment, or similar)
- Strong leadership and coaching skills; ability to motivate and empower teams
- Experience in a fast-paced, multitasking environment
- ServSafe or similar food certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Proficient with basic computer systems (Microsoft Office preferred)
- Ability to pass background check

- Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to set goals, take initiative, and drive execution
- Positive, energetic, and professional demeanor
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs
- Work in a noisy, fast-paced, high-activity environment
- Regular, predictable attendance required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Stand/walk for extended periods
- Move around the facility actively throughout the shift
- Lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
