What are the responsibilities and job description for the FedEx Ground Delivery Driver (READING, PA) position at Urartu Logistics Inc.?
FULL TIME: 5-6 days/week
$500 Signing Bonus after 90 Days
Urartu Logistics Inc. is a contractor for FedEx Ground providing Delivery Drivers utilizing a variety of company-owned fleet vehicles. Delivery Drivers ensure that recipients receive their packages and other items in a safe and timely manner, free of damage.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Pass a drug test (includes marijuana) with continued random drug screenings throughout employment
- Pass FedEx Ground criminal background check
- Have reliable transportation to and from work
- Time management to ensure deliveries are made on schedule
- Be physically fit to a degree you can lift and maneuver parcels without difficulty or injury
- Value customer service
- Be on time and ready to work each day
- Have a strong work ethic.
- Basic ability to to read and speak English well enough to communicate with the general public, to understand road signs and signals, and to fill out paperwork.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow best practices for safety, both on the road and while loading or unloading a truck
- Load and unload packages with care
- Communicate with managers, dispatchers, drivers and/or other team members
- Scan and track deliveries and package pick-ups
- Meet delivery deadlines
- Obtain client or customer signatures if/when needed
