What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Sampler position at URANIUM ENERGY CORP?
Position Responsibilities:
As an Environmental Sampler, you will play a crucial role in various duties associated with sampling monitor wells and conducting environmental inspections on a routine and timely basis. Basic duties include, but are not limited to:
- Pumping and collecting water samples from monitor wells on a required schedule.
- Collecting water / soil / vegetation samples on a required schedule.
- Routine maintenance on all well equipment and portable generators, record keeping and tracking sampling progress.
- Conducting routine evaporation pond inspections, monthly inspections of fire extinguishers, safety showers and medical cabinets or other HSE Department duties as assigned. The position may also be called on to assist other groups if scheduled work is completed ahead of schedule.
Job Requirements
- This is an Hourly position that involves working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Must be able to routinely lift 50 pounds.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices in all work-related activities.
- Must be able to recognize hazardous conditions, follow company safety policies and practices, and engage in a strong safety culture.
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- The successful candidate will be required to submit to mandatory drug and alcohol testing prior to employment.
Qualifications:
- A minimum High School diploma or GED, knowledge of basic construction/maintenance skills are required.
- Must have the ability to work independently, as well as part of a team setting.
- Must be able to follow standard operating procedures.
- Basic computer skills are required.
