Job Specific Competencies
- Responsible for the facilitation of programs, including both group and individual activities and outings, to meet the needs of the geriatric resident population.
- Notifies residents of upcoming programs
- Ensures attention to residents' personal needs and their safety at all times while on community outings
- Builds enthusiasm for life enrichment programming
- Assures the socialization & activity needs and desires are being met by regularly interacting with residents and sharing feedback regarding programming likes & dislikes
- Completes necessary documentation for residents with regard to activity preferences, behavior changes, and level of participation.
- Maintains activity areas in neat organized manner
- Becomes a member of a cohesive team to achieve the goal of maximum quality of life for the residents of Clark Meadows.
- Maintains a positive working relationship with all associates
- Participates in departmental meetings and family meetings as requested
- Assists with programming in Independent Living as requested
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Must have verbal & written communication skills in the English language necessary to communicate & work effectively with various levels of staff, residents, family members & the public.
- Valid NYS Drivers License
- Strong leadership skills, oral & written communication skills & organization skills.
- High School Diploma or GED with preferably 1-2 years of experience with the geriatric population.
- Experience in activities & programs for senior residents preferred.
- Pay Range:** $18.00 - $22.00/hr
- Starting Pay:** Based on Experience
