What You'll Do
- Continuously monitor GeM (Government e-Marketplace), CPP Portal, and other global public procurement sites for relevant IT tenders.
- Analyze tender documents, RFPs, and RFQs to determine feasibility, compliance requirements, and profitability.
- Coordinate with legal, finance, and engineering teams to compile comprehensive, error-free bid responses.
- Manage EMD (Earnest Money Deposit) processes and ensure all submissions meet strict deadlines.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and negotiate terms with government nodal officers.
- Maintain a repository of standard compliance documents, technical write-ups, and company profiles.
- 3-6 years of proven experience specifically in bidding for and winning Government IT/Software contracts.
- Deep understanding of the GeM portal, GFR (General Financial Rules), and public procurement compliance in India.
- Exceptional document management and proposal writing skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail — a single missed compliance document can disqualify a multi-million rupee bid.
- Strong existing relationships with system integrators (SIs) and government consultants is a major plus.
- Patience and tenacity to navigate long, bureaucratic sales cycles.
