Schedule: Part Time, Saturday and Sunday 7am - 7:30pm pm (24 hours per week) with rotating holiday call. Take advantage of the shift differential for weekends!
Pay Range: $26.75 - $34.00, based on experience.

Job Objectives
- To directly assist, within the sterile operative field, the Surgeon & First Assistant during surgery by assuring that a sterile environment is maintained & all necessary surgical instruments/supplies are readily available to the surgeons.
- Skill and knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instruments and surgical procedures are required.
- The ability to develop & maintain collaborative working relationships with members of the surgical team is needed.
- On the weekend shift there will also be quality assurance work, prepping and stocking if surgeries are not taking place.
Key Responsibilities
- Assures a safe and efficient environment is provided for the surgical patient by preparing for each assigned case
- Is an active member of the surgical team
- Assures overall efficiency of department by effectively clearing Operating Room following the case
- Assures an optimal perioperative environment to meet the needs of the patient
- Provides appropriate and quality care based on the results of current nursing research and quality improvement monitoring results.
Requirements:
- National Surgical Technology certification or credentialed/grandfathered by NYS per 1/21/15 DOH regulation (2824) OR NYS LPN license required.
- BLS Certification required.
- Previous experience as a surgical scrub tech strongly preferred (at this time cannot hire an LPN without surgical OR exp).
- Regardless of what shift hired for, will need to orient on days M-F 7am-3:30pm for the first several months.
- On-call requirements required based on unit needs.
Pay Range: $26.75 - $34.00
