Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with ISO9001 and IATF16949 standards.
- Oversee and support all internal and external quality audits.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive measures to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and New Product Development teams to approve new suppliers, validate materials, and resolve quality issues.
- Implement and manage process improvement projects using tools like SPC, FMEA, DOE, RCCA, and control plans.
- Utilize Oracle ERP to monitor and manage quality data, reporting, and performance metrics.
- Mentor, train, and develop quality team members to build a high-performance culture.
- Provide advanced quality engineering support for new product introductions and process optimization.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and consultant to cross-functional teams on quality methodologies and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field (ASQ CQE certification preferred).
- 5 years of progressive experience in quality leadership within a manufacturing environment (metal fabrication highly preferred).
- Strong knowledge of ISO9001 and IATF16949 quality systems.
- Experience with Oracle ERP or similar systems.
- Hands-on expertise with quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, DOE, RCCA, GD&T, and control plans.
- Experience leading internal and external audits and developing corrective/preventive action plans.
- Six Sigma training or certification a plus.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
- Ability to analyze technical data and drive fact-based decision-making.
