What are the responsibilities and job description for the Client Account Manager- Advertising position at Upwynn Marketing?
About Upwynn. We are a boutique digital marketing agency in Orlando serving clients in the home service industry such as healthcare, legal, home services and more.
We run on transparency: We make decisions on data and collaboration, no long-term contracts, data our clients can actually read. This ensures our clients stay with us because they want to, not because they have to.
The role. The Client Account Manager is the main point of contact for our clients and for our team. When a client has a question or a concern, they come to you first. When our team needs to know where a project stands or what a client actually wants, they come to you too. You sit in the middle of everything, and that is the point. Your job is to keep our clients delighted and to make sure nothing gets missed: no follow-up slips, no promise quietly falls through the cracks. You will lead client monthly meetings and you are the advocate for our clients.
What you will own:
- Weekly performance emails
- Monthly strategy calls and quarterly reviews per client, biweekly check-ins for high-touch accounts, and a written recap after every client call.
- Routing creative (commercials, reels, ad copy, web pages) for client approval and consolidating feedback for our team.
- Coordinating media vendors, including verifying media invoices against what actually ran.
- Unblocking clients: ad account access, Meta payment methods, Google advertiser verification, password wrangling. Unglamorous, essential.
- Scheduling monthly filming days with our videographers and client teams.
- Client onboarding and offboarding checklists: platform access, kickoff calls, clean handoffs.
- Flagging and following up on overdue invoices. Politely, persistently.
What success looks like:
- Organized to a fault. You keep a dozen accounts straight without dropping a follow-up. Your systems do the remembering, so nothing depends on your memory or a sticky note.
- Personable. Every client feels like your only client. You are warm on a call, quick on email, and able to deliver hard news kindly.
- Fluent in digital marketing. You can read a Google Ads or Meta report and explain what it means in plain English, whether the client is a dentist, a lawyer, or a roofer.
- Strategic: You can strategize and support collaboration internally and with our clients & our team
- Excited for our clients to win. A client having a record month makes your week. Their success is the whole job, and it shows in how you follow through.
Must-haves:
- 2-4 years of agency-side account management with 8 or more concurrent clients.
- Paid media literacy: you can read Google Ads, Meta, and call-tracking metrics and explain them to a non-marketer without jargon.
- Excellent written communication. Most client touchpoints here are email.
- Ruthless organization. Follow-ups do not slip and recaps ship same day.
- Comfortable being direct with clients about results, blockers, and invoices.
- Orlando area, able to work hybrid from our office and attend local shoot days.
