Job Title & Role Description:

The Manager, Clinical Applications at Upward Health will manage a team of analysts responsible for configuring, maintaining, and enhancing clinical applications such as Salesforce Health Cloud and athenaOne EHR. This individual will collaborate closely with clinical stakeholders to ensure that the applications are optimized to support clinical users and workflows. The Manager will lead their team to prioritize and implement business solutions in alignment with organizational goals. This role involves managing project timelines, overseeing configuration and enhancement requests, ensuring user adoption, and troubleshooting any application issues. The ideal candidate will have experience in a healthcare technology setting and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing environment.

Skills Required:

  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and time management skills
  • Strong ability to manage and lead a team of analysts and support specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure team success
  • Experience with EHR/EMR content development (e.g., encounter form templates, letters, flowsheets) - athenaOne and Salesforce Health Cloud preferred
  • Experience with clinical workflow design and understanding how applications support clinical operations
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot potential issues and provide effective solutions
  • Strong understanding of business requirements and translating them into technical solutions within clinical information systems
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities
  • Familiarity with NCQA Accreditation, medical coding best practices, and Quality Improvement Program goals

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensures that all configurations undergo thorough functional and integration testing before being deployed


Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborates with stakeholders to define, design, and implement impactful clinical application solutions


Technical Documentation:

  • Skilled at documenting system configurations, changes, and enhancements for ongoing reference and knowledge sharing.
