Duties
- Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in and appointment scheduling using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Draw blood and perform vital signs measurement such as blood pressure and weight.
- Support clinical staff by preparing exam rooms, sterilizing equipment, and assisting with procedures like X-ray imaging or medication administration when qualified.
- Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment adhering to infection control protocols; support inpatient and outpatient care activities for an OBGYN office
- Handle administrative tasks such as answering phones, and scheduling appointments
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar clinical support role within hospital medicine or outpatient clinics.
- Familiarity with EHR systems for documentation and appointment management
- Ability to perform clinical duties such as taking vital signs, drawing blood, and assisting with in office procedures like IUD placement and Nexplanon implant placement
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically across diverse populations.
