Retail Assistant Store Manager

Uptown Hippie is looking for an Assistant Store Manager to assist with keeping our two Scottsdale stores operating smoothly and efficiently. 

We’re a brother-and-sister-owned lifestyle brand and we’re looking for someone who is energetic, organized, responsible, great with people, and genuinely excited about our brand and retail.

This is a hands-on retail position. You’ll be working directly with customers and helping on the sales floor, while also assisting with behind-the-scenes tasks that keep our stores running smoothly and effciently.

We’re looking for someone who knows how to use time productively, whether that means organizing inventory, restocking, merchandising, receiving shipments, or taking care of other store needs.

• Work on the sales floor and providing an amazing customer experience
• Help oversee the day-to-day operations of our two Scottsdale stores
• Open and close the store and make sure everything is running smoothly
• Lead, train, and support our retail team
• Help with inventory management, transfers, and replenishment
• Restock and maintain product presentation throughout the stores
• Keep the stores clean, organized, and on-brand
• Track inventory and communicate when products need to be restocked
• Help troubleshoot basic operational issues
• Take initiative and find things that need to be done without needing direction
• Help create the fun, welcoming atmosphere Uptown Hippie is known for

• Has 2 years of retail management or supervisory experience
• Has experience leading or supervising a retail team
• Is extremely organized and detail-oriented
• Has experience with inventory
• Is comfortable using Shopify/POS systems
• Is reliable and takes ownership of their responsibilities
• Has strong communication skills
• Is friendly, outgoing, and enjoys interacting with customers
• Has an eye for merchandising and presentation
• Can multitask and stay productive during slower periods
• Loves fashion, lifestyle, retail, and the Uptown Hippie vibe
  

We’re looking for someone who is self-motivated and takes initiative.

You don't need to know everything on day one, but you do need to be someone we can trust to keep things moving.

If the store is busy, you’ll be helping customers. If things slow down, you’ll know how to use that time to tackle inventory, merchandising, organization, scheduling, restocking, and other projects that need attention.
