What are the responsibilities and job description for the Apartment Maintenance Tech position at Upton Druid Apartments?
Seeking a talented, reliable Apartment Maintenance Technician for our multifamily 78-unit apartment community in Baltimore City, Maryland. The main function of the Maintenance Technician is to complete resident work orders, unit turnovers, general grounds maintenance and cleaning, and miscellaneous repairs as needed. The ideal candidate will have prior apartment maintenance experience and well-rounded skills such as electrical, plumbing, and carpentry. HUD experience including REAC inspections is a bonus. This position will report to the on-site Property Manager. Common tasks include painting and drywall, basic plumbing, installing electrical outlets, installing kitchen and bathroom fixtures such as sinks and tub surrounds.
Requirements
- MUST HAVE RELIABLE DAILY TRANSPORTATION
- Ensure work orders/turnovers are completed effectively and efficiently.
- Maintain a count of outstanding work orders and report to the Property Manager.
- Maintain cleanliness of grounds including indoor/outdoor building amenities, exterior paving, landscaping, signage, siding, painting, etc.
- Work on call rotations for maintenance emergencies.
- Coordinate with the Property Manager for purchasing parts/material as needed.
Essential Skills/Abilities:
- Carpentry, Electrical, plumbing experience.
- Two (2) years' experience in relevant maintenance field.
- Ability to work with a team (Property Manager & Maintenance Supervisor).
- Mandatory attendance.
