Assembler Entry level

This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a nationwide Oil & Gas company in Shreveport, LA.

Current Available Shifts:

- Weekday AM Shift: Monday - Thursday (7am - 5:30pm) some mandatory OT on Fridays
- Weekday PM Shift: Monday - Friday (7pm - 5:30am) - $3 shift diff.

All candidates must be local to Shreveport, LA and have a valid DL.

Job Summary:
The Assembly and Test Operator is responsible for assembling and testing products, and for troubleshooting and resolving issues.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble components of all products, selecting the correct tools and fixtures.
• Test assembled products. Troubleshoot and resolve problems associated with the assembly and testing of products.
• Read blueprints; identify components; use pertinent tools and rework techniques; operate equipment, dimensioning and setting tolerances of mechanical parts and assemblies.
• Create labor records for all transactions.
• Ensure good housekeeping within own work area.
• Take personal responsibility for safety and adhere to relating Risk Assessments.
• Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement.
• Qualifications and Experience:
• High school diploma, General Educational Development (GED), or related experience.
• Encouraging to apply candidates with these skills : HVAC, fabricators, pipe fitters, welders, plumbing, millwright type skillset, looking at the drawings, etc. Need to use computer
• Must be mechanically adept; able to use a variety of hand and power tools.
• Ability to read, interpret blue prints, and carry out written and oral instructions; write legibly.
• Experience working with assembly related operations or equivalent preferred.
• Note that if you get hired you must undergo a background check, a driving records check and a drug screening
