Description
Uptain Group dba MedCo Services provides revenue cycle services to hospitals and other medical providers. We are a fast-paced call center, requiring Patient Billing and Service Representatives to assist callers while providing an excellent patient experience and a seamless representation of our clients. Successful specialists use effective negotiation, problem-solving skills, and positive customer service to assist patients in resolving account balances. Representatives are expected to be efficient and effective in call handling in order to assist the company in exceeding monthly productivity and revenue goals.
Pay is $16.00 - $18.00 per hour ($17.00 - $19.00 for Spanish speakers) plus a monthly bonus opportunity is available! Bonus amounts average $100 to $300! A double bonus is also available!
Average Agent makes $17.00 or more per hour within 60-90 days including bonuses!
Fully Remote Work from Home Opportunity.
Flexible scheduling includes:
- Flexible start times
- Various lunchtimes are available: 1 hour, 45 min or 30 min
- Full Time Benefits eligible for anyone working 30 hours.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Ability to handle 75 inbound and/or outbound calls effectively
- Daily collection on patient account balances to meet or exceed a monthly collection goal
- Analyzes accounts for proper billing procedures and takes necessary action to rebill/resolve as necessary
- Utilize internal and external software to retrieve, input, or modify information needed to explain the charge and answer questions for patients.
- The ability to meet specified key performance indicators
- Willingness to follow up with patients as needed to provide information related to account/balance resolution
- Accurately document accounts including details related to the call
- Focused on delivering excellent customer service on each call
- Engages in active listening when dealing with patients in an effort to provide one-call resolution
- Professionally interact with patients, management, and peers
- Dedicated to providing professional representation of MedCo’s clients
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of previous call center experience
- Collections and/ or healthcare experience preferred
- An aptitude for conflict resolution, problem-solving, and negotiation
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships
- Accurate Typing Skills (25 WPM)
- Basic understanding of Windows Operating System
- Must be customer service oriented (empathetic, responsive, patient, and conscientious)
- Ability to multi-task, stay focused, and self-manage
- Detail Oriented
