Qualifications:
The Electrician at Upstream Data US Inc. supports the installation, wiring, and maintenance of electrical systems within our manufactured products. The role ensures that all work aligns with NEC standards and company quality and safety expectations.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Working Hours:
Normal working hours are 8 working hours for each working day, between 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday-Friday with a 30 minute lunch break. Employee is expected to start work no later than 8:00 am weekdays. The employee is expected to submit time sheets detailing working hours.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Completion of a vocational program or technical training in electrical work is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- 1–3 years of hands-on electrical experience in industrial, commercial, or manufacturing environments preferred.
- Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and safe electrical work practices.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
- Comfortable working under supervision and independently as needed.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and time management abilities.
- Physically able to lift, bend, climb, and work in varying conditions (indoor/outdoor).
- OSHA 10 or 30 (Construction or General Industry) is an asset but not required.
- Willingness to obtain additional safety training or certifications as needed.

- Install and terminate conduit, wire, cable, electrical panels, and control systems.
- Assemble and wire control panels for manufacturing equipment.
- Support electrical integration for new builds and retrofits.
- Troubleshoot and maintain electrical systems, including motors and control devices.
- Perform tests on installed or repaired systems to ensure functionality and safety.
- Interpret wiring diagrams and participate in system checkouts.
- Maintain accurate documentation for all electrical work performed.
- Follow all safety procedures including lockout/tagout, PPE, and hazard assessments.
- Maintain organization of tools, parts, and inventory.
- Support preventive maintenance and assist with equipment repairs.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
