Job Summary
Reporting to the Deputy Director of Psychiatric Nursing, the Psychiatric Clinical Excellence Coordinator (PCEC) will facilitate coordination between multidisciplinary teams caring for the adult and pediatric psychiatric patients to ensure exceptional outcomes and advance the impact of the psychiatric care provided to our patients. The PCEC will provide centralized clinical mentorship to include coordination of educational activities, quality improvement and design with the focus of expertise development of patient care staff. The PCEC will provide clinical leadership, infusion of evidence based practice, quality initiatives to the clinical staff as directed by the Deputy Director. The PCEC will lead system wide quality initiatives and work collaboratively with the Psychiatric Quality Committee. Will also provide consultation to other non-psychiatric service areas to assist in the provision of education to promote and support high quality patient care.
Minimum Qualifications
NYS licensed/registered RN (or eligible), Masters degree in Nursing or related field and a minimum of three years acute care experience RN to include experience in psychiatric care required. Excellent written, oral communication, and organizational skills and strong problem-solving abilities required. CPR-BLS certification is required by the time of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications
Nursing certification in Psychiatry preferred.
