Responsibilities

- Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), tax regulations, and industry-specific financial standards
- Collaborate with HR, accounting, and finance teams to verify employee data accuracy and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly
- Manage payroll-related audits, internal controls, and reporting to ensure adherence to financial regulatory compliance
- Oversee the use of financial software systems for payroll processing, maintaining data integrity within spreadsheets and databases
- Develop and improve payroll procedures by leveraging project management skills to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders regarding payroll issues, updates, or changes in regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a focus on payroll management or related functions
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations affecting payroll processing, including tax accounting and compliance standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel spreadsheets for data analysis and reporting
- Experience with financial software systems used for payroll processing and reporting
