Job Summary

Upstate Mobile Imaging is hiring a Mobile Radiologic Technologist to provide high-quality portable X-ray services throughout the Capital Region. This role is ideal for a technologist who wants more independence, less hospital politics, and the opportunity to work directly with patients in long-term care and skilled nursing settings.

This role is perfect for someone fresh out of school looking for their first full time role, or a more experienced tech who enjoys working independently

You will travel locally in a company-provided vehicle to perform portable radiographic exams at nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and other care settings. This is a full-time role with benefits, paid time off, and a $3,000 sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities

• Perform portable X-ray examinations in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and other patient care locations
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images while following proper radiographic techniques
• Ensure compliance with all radiation safety standards and company protocols
• Safely transport and operate portable imaging equipment
• Communicate professionally with facility staff, patients, and caregivers
• Maintain accurate documentation and complete required paperwork in a timely manner
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in bedside and facility-based environments
• Keep equipment, vehicle, and work materials organized and in good condition

Schedule

• Full-time
• Monday through Friday
• Day shift
• Opportunities for overtime may be available
• Local travel throughout the Capital Region
• Home every night

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• ARRT Certification required or eligible if newly graduated and awaiting final certification
• New York State Radiologic Technologist license required
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Strong patient interaction and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a mobile schedule
• Experience in portable X-ray, nursing home, long-term care, or mobile imaging is preferred, but not required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities
• Comfortable working independently in the field
• Strong professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail

Compensation

• $35.00–$45.00 per hour, depending on experience
• Overtime opportunities available
• $3,000 sign-on bonus
