Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide patient monitoring and observation to ensure safety and comfort.
- Maintain a clean and organized living space for clients.
- Support clients with mobility and transportation needs.
- Document patient observations and report any changes in condition to nursing staff or family members.
- Engage clients in social activities that promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Follow care plans as directed by healthcare professionals, including nurses or social workers.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of hospice care practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques and observation skills.
- Ability to maintain a clean environment while providing personal care services.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams.
