OVERVIEW
Upstate Elevator is Vermont’s leading brand of Cannabis infused edibles, flower, and beverages. Founded in 2017, the Burlington-based company is family owned and operated and is distributed nationwide. Upstate Elevator’s mission is to elevate mind and body, and to make people feel good, by reuniting with the Cannabis plant.
Dispensary Associates at the Upstate Elevator flagship store support all aspects of our vertically-integrated cannabis operation, with a focus on customer service, packaging, and budtending. Ability to work evenings and weekends is required. Base pay is $18 per hour, plus tips.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides excellent customer service to Upstate’s customers in a professional and friendly manner.
- Assists THC and hemp customers by processing orders, returns, loyalty rewards, subscriptions, and manifests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Greets customers at the Flagship Store, answer questions, and provide helpful information in a friendly, professional manner.
- Educates customers on cannabis products and Upstate inventory offerings. You will be expected to review our menu regularly to help improve sales and give knowledge based advice.
- Performs sales transactions including cash handling and using the POS system.
- Ensuring that the dispensary is clean and well-organized at all times.
- Correctly packaging and labeling cannabis products as required.
- Supports cultivation operations including harvesting, trimming, drying and curing, and waste disposal.
- Other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- An excited attitude towards the growth of the Vermont Cannabis industry, with a cooperative and team-oriented attitude.
- 1 year of customer service or other related experience (experience in the cannabis field is a plus)
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
- Strong verbal communication and excellent customer service skills.
- Comfortable moving quickly from one task to another, with a willingness to learn new skills.
- Proficiency using a computer as well as accurately operating a Point Of Sale system.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods of time
- Ability to be punctual and maintain schedule adherence.
- Ability to occasionally lift 50 lbs, regularly lift 30 lbs.
- Must be 21 and pass a State Background check and FBI background check to obtain Cannabis Control Board Employee ID
