Position Summary
The Hybrid Sales role blends project-based sales execution with territory-focused business development. This role supports active project opportunities in partnership with the Project Team while also spending dedicated time in the field building relationships, increasing brand awareness, and driving sales growth within an assigned territory.
This role requires consistent engagement with key Decision Influencers (builders, architects, designers, millwork partners, and dealers) and ownership of proposal development, follow-up, forecasting, and conversion. The position is designed as a hybrid role, with expectations of increasing independence, influence, and impact over time.
Core Responsibilities (Applies to All Positions)

Role-Specific Responsibilities
Project Support & Sales Execution
- Manage active project opportunities by preparing, revising, and delivering accurate proposals, drawings, and related documentation.
- Track, forecast, and follow up on project activity to drive timely conversion from quote to order.
- Engage with Decision Influencers to address project-specific details, including product specifications, timelines, and processes.
- Ensure all project activity, communications, and updates are accurately documented in CRM and internal systems.
- Maintain organized records to support forecasting accuracy and team visibility.
Territory & Relationship Development
- Build and maintain strong relationships with builders, architects, designers, millwork partners, and dealers within the assigned territory.
- Conduct discovery and follow-up meetings to position the full product line and identify new opportunities.
- Develop and execute territory and account plans that strengthen partnerships and increase market share.
- Perform job site visits and in-field meetings to support active projects and identify future opportunities.
- Participate in collaborative site visits with top dealer reps and joint calls with influencers to expand brand recognition and deepen dealer engagement.
Account & Market Growth
- Evaluate the effectiveness of current dealer networks or direct accounts and contribute to strategies that support growth.
- Support dealer and partner training initiatives, including training on internal quoting and drawing tools (UQ).
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and territory needs; communicate insights to leadership and internal teams.
- Contribute to pipeline development and forecasting through consistent project tracking and market engagement.
Internal Collaboration & Communication
- Collaborate closely with Project Team members, Business Development, Marketing, Engineering, and Leadership to ensure alignment and execution.
- Communicate proactively regarding project status, risks, opportunities, and market feedback.
- Contribute to a collaborative, solution-oriented team environment.
- Participate in internal meetings, planning sessions, and cross-functional initiatives as needed.
Product Expertise
· Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Upstate Door’s product lines, including all custom options and configurations.
· Serve as a product knowledge resource for customers, internal teams, and business developers.
· Guide clients through the design and specification process, ensuring solutions align with their project needs and technical requirements.
Accuracy & Documentation
· Ensure all project documentation, drawings, specifications, and order details are accurate and complete.
· Review revisions carefully and document all updates clearly.
· Verify dimensions, configurations, finishes, and custom details before final submission for order processing.
Travel & Field Engagement
- Travel throughout the assigned territory is a core component of this role and typically represents 30–40% of overall time.
- Field engagement includes job site visits, dealer meetings, product consultation meetings, AIA’s/ IDCEC’s, Builder PM meetings, and project-related meetings.
- Travel may include overnight stays and varies based on territory needs and business priorities.
Administration & Organization
- Maintain an up-to-date Outlook calendar reflecting meetings, travel, and calls; calendar to be shared with management.
- Utilize CRM daily to document activities, leads, and follow-up actions per the current process for each trip.
- Attend trade shows, vendor events, and internal trainings as assigned.
- Manage role-related expenses responsibly and in alignment with company guidelines.
Complete required reports and data entry accurately and on time.
Qualifications
Education
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
· Degree in [field] or comparable work experience
· Relevant education, training, or hands-on experience
Experience
