Upstate Automotive Group is looking to hire a Service Technician for the newest location we’ve added to our Upstate brand here in Arcade. We’re looking for someone with mechanical knowledge and experience for this full-time position, who can be responsible for performing total automotive assessments, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of vehicle makes and models.
Service Technicians are required to be proficient in a variety of abilities. Good communication, problem solving, and thorough, honest work ethics are important to be able to work with Service Advisors and Managers, diagnose and analyze problems, test components and systems for flaws or failures, and be able to offer the best solution for the customer’s needs. These skills, along with the ability to process paper and/or computer work associated with the job, are fundamental.
The quality of the work accomplished by Service Technicians at Upstate Automotive Group Service Department’s directly reflects the company’s reputation. As such, the work performed will be required to be honest and of high quality to ensure customer satisfaction to the best of our abilities every time.
Automotive service experience is required, with a minimum of completed high school education. A clean NYS driver’s license record, along with being able to supply your own basic tools, is also an eligibility requirement. Training will be provided to ensure appropriate standards are communicated and understood, as well as training in our various computer programs used to log and document vehicle maintenance progress and history.
