This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of cancer care in rural Georgia while making a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and families facing a cancer diagnosis.

At URMC, our mission is simple: provide excellent care rooted in compassion for all. This is more than a job—it's an opportunity to help build a comprehensive oncology program from the ground up. As a key clinical leader, you will work alongside oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, and other multidisciplinary team members to create an exceptional patient experience while delivering evidence-based cancer care.

Position Highlights

As an Oncology APP, you will:

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient oncology care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing management of cancer patients, as well as inpatient consults.

  • Conduct follow-up visits, treatment toxicity assessments, symptom management, and survivorship care.

  • Serve as a first-line clinical resource for infusion-related concerns and treatment support.

  • Participate in new patient evaluations, including history and physical examinations, diagnostic review, and care coordination.

  • Order and interpret diagnostic studies, prescribe medications, and implement supportive care interventions.

  • Educate patients and caregivers regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, symptom management, and supportive services.

  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary oncology team focused on delivering outstanding outcomes and compassionate care.

Why URMC?

At URMC, you'll find:

The opportunity to help launch a new Oncology and Infusion Service Line serving a growing regional need.

A supportive team dedicated to quality, patient experience, innovation, and community impact.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

  • Master's degree from an accredited NP or PA program

  • Current Georgia NP or PA licensure

  • National certification (AANP, ANCC, NCCPA, or equivalent)

  • Two or more years of experience as an RN, NP, or PA in an inpatient or outpatient clinical setting

Preferred:
