What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Scheduler position at Upside Innovations, LLC?
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Scheduling work using Mie Trak ERP system to support steady workflow in all areas of the manufacturing facility
- Working with the Planning Department to coordinate planned work with what is being scheduled through manufacturing
- Check Kanban inventory and collect cards that will be used to create work orders in the ERP system
- Work closely with the Shop Manager to learn the capabilities of of the CNC saws and
- CNC mills to maximize capacity
- Work closely with the the production Team Leaders to ensure they are supported and have all information and documents they need to be successful
- Print out work orders daily and release them to the shop in the appropriate order to ensure machines are fully utilized
- Willing to learn how to schedule future equipment such as a tube laser, press brake, plate laser and roll forming machine
- Required to work in both an office and in the manufacturing environment
- Able to schedule standard and custom work through the shop
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in planning and scheduling production
- Knowledge and experience using an ERP system, Mie Trak is a plus
- Familiarity of welding machines, CNC saws and CNC milling equipment is a plus
- Experience scheduling and nesting a tube laser is a plus
- Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently and effectively with cross functional teams
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a production environment
- Analytical thinker with excellent interpersonal skills
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes
- Detail oriented with strong analytical skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with technical and
- non-technical staff
