What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Associate position at UPS STORE?
NOW HIRING for a part-time position - flexible 15 to 20 hours per week. Weekend availability a must! This is an Entry Level position for Store Associate.
Primary responsibility is to deliver world-class customer service to customers. This requires strong interpersonal skills, effective oral/written communication skills and the ability to work well with others. Computer application knowledge, including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), is recommended and may be required. Knowledge of Internet applications is preferred. Physical requirements include the ability to stand for several hours at a time and ability to lift 50-75 lbs.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
As a Team Member of The UPS Store you will have the following duties:
- Provide prompt, efficient and courteous customer service
- Assist customers to determine the best way to ship their packages
- Assist customers with document services
- Pack merchandise for shipment and process the shipment
- Ring sales in a computerized register
- Maintain a clean, customer friendly environment in the store and other tasks that are included on job assignments
- The position requires standing, bending and reaching. Frequent lifting of 1 to 5 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 40-50 pounds
