What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner position at Upper Valley Pediatrics?

Upper Valley Pediatrics is seeking a Pediatric or Family Nurse Practitioner to join our community pediatric practice serving families throughout the Upper Valley region. We are currently looking for a provider to work 3 or 4 days per week, primarily in our Bradford, Vermont clinic location, with additional coverage in our West Lebanon, New Hampshire clinic.

The Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive pediatric care to patients from birth through young adulthood, including preventive care, management of acute and chronic illnesses, behavioral and psychiatric care, and adolescent medicine. We welcome both experienced Nurse Practitioners and new graduates interested in growing within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Nurse Practitioner Duties and Responsibilities

Nurse Practitioners at Upper Valley Pediatrics care for patients daily to support their overall health and well-being. Responsibilities include:

  • Complying with all legislation and regulations applicable to practicing medicine
  • Conducting physical examinations, tests, and procedures to diagnose patients
  • Maintaining accurate and timely medical records
  • Developing treatment plans and making recommendations for lifestyle changes to improve patients’ quality of life
  • Prescribing medications, treatments, or therapies as appropriate
  • Explaining test results and medical procedures to patients and families
  • Collaborating with physicians and healthcare team members regarding specialized patient needs
  • Training and mentoring nurse practitioner students, medical students, and other healthcare professionals as appropriate

Upper Valley Pediatrics is a designated medical home offering comprehensive medical care from infancy through young adulthood. Our practice specializes in preventive care, complex medical conditions, behavioral and psychiatric disorders, and adolescent medicine. We are committed to supporting professional growth and are willing to provide teaching and mentorship to help new graduates build confidence and independence.

Schedule

  • Part-time or full-time opportunity
  • Seeking availability for 3 or 4 days per week
  • Includes 1 Saturday morning per month
  • Primary location: Bradford, VT
  • Secondary location: West Lebanon, NH
  • Some flexibility regarding schedule and start date for the right candidate

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Pediatric experience preferred (1 year preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Nurse Practitioner license required

Compensation

Pay Rate:
$46,000 – $91,000 annually, depending on schedule and experience
