General Job Description
Perform custodial duties for the district. During the school year, evening hours are 3:00pm-11:30pm for 2nd shift or 10:30pm-7:00am for 3rd shift. Non-school days and summer hours are 6:30am-3:00pm.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Appropriate placement on the Custodial/Maintenance Salary Schedule to be determined by education and experience. Salary will range from $43,457.00 ( Class III, Step 0) to $48,952.00 (Class III, Step 5). Base contract is 260 Days. Minimum workday is 8 hours per day exclusive of a lunch break . One-year contract with opportunity for renewal.
Other Benefits
School Employees Retirement System, Worker's Compensation, paid vacation/ sick/personal leave, partial tuition reimbursement, and tax-sheltered retirement contributions. Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance offered. Some benefits are a shared cost between the employee and the Board of Education.

- Takes precautions to ensure safety. Initiates action to manage/eliminate risks.
- Performs other specific job-related duties as directed.
- High school diploma or GED. Work skills substantiated by training and/or relevant work experience. An acceptable score on a pre-employment skill test may be required.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work that includes lifting/moving heavy items.
- Collects, records, and maintains data accurately. Applies basic mathematical concepts correctly.
- Displays flexibility, reliability, self-discipline, and a willingness to take on challenging tasks.
- Embodies high ethical standards and integrity. Accepts responsibility for decisions and conduct.
- Interacts confidently with others and displays a strong customer-service focus.
