What are the responsibilities and job description for the Building-Based Substitute Teachers position at Upper Perkiomen School District?
POSITION TITLE: Building Substitute Teachers (BBS)- hired through ESS
REPORTS TO: Building Principal/ ESS
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: ESS Contractor, assigned to primarily support one school based in the needs of the district, Monday through Friday.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- PDE Teaching Certification/Emergency Certification
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Provide instruction to students
- Communicate with parents about students' progress
- Provides an educational atmosphere consistent with instructional goals
- Plan, develop, write, and implement curriculum and educational programs in accordance with educational/treatment goals and students' abilities
- Manage student behavior to encourage best possible student educational experience
- Evaluate students' academic growth, keep appropriate records and prepare progress reports.
PRE EMPLOYMENT PAPERWORK REQUIREMENTS:
- PA State Police Clearance (Act 34)
- Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151)
- FBI Fingerprint Clearance (Act 114)
- School Personnel Health Form (Physical and TB test)
- PDE 6004 Form (Act 24)
- Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release Form(s) (Act 168)
