Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Behavioral Health Education serves as a faculty leader within the Marquette Family Medicine Residency Program. This role is responsible for maintaining, refining, and enhancing a longitudinal curriculum focused on behavioral medicine, communication skills, professionalism, physician well-being, and professional identity formation.

While the foundational curriculum is already developed, the Behavioral Health Director ensures ongoing alignment with evolving residency needs, accreditation standards, and best practices in medical education. This includes integrating behavioral health principles into clinical training, supporting resident and faculty development, and enhancing the application of behavioral health concepts in patient care.

Principal Responsibilities

  • In conjunction with faculty, maintain and refine longitudinal educational content in behavioral medicine, communication skills, professionalism, physician well-being, and professional identity formation.
  • Deliver didactic teaching sessions, including orientation, core curriculum conferences, and targeted behavioral health topics across all residency years.
  • Integrate behavioral health principles into clinical education and support application of biopsychosocial care in patient encounters.
  • Conduct direct observation of resident-patient interactions (video-based) and provide timely, structured formative feedback.
  • Support resident wellness initiatives, reflective learning activities, and professionalism development in collaboration with program leadership.
  • Participate in resident evaluation processes and contribute behavioral health expertise to competency-based assessment and Clinical Competency Committee discussions.
  • Provide ongoing leadership, oversight, and continuous quality improvement within the Family Medicine Residency Program.

Pay: $65.00 - $75.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12.0 per week
