We are seeking a Chief Operating Officer to serve as the operational leader of our integrated healthcare and real estate entities. This role oversees financial management, human resources, vendor relations, contracting, and facilities operations while partnering closely with physician leadership to drive performance, compliance, and long-term growth.
Founded in 1973, Upper Cumberland ENT (UCENT) is a physician-led organization with a fully integrated healthcare platform that includes a private ENT practice, accredited ambulatory surgery center, audiology and hearing aid services, and a real estate holding company.
Role Summary:
- Lead enterprise-wide financial operations including budgeting, contracts, forecasting, payroll allocations, and reporting
- Negotiate payer contracts, insurance renewals, and vendor agreements
- Oversee MSO functions: billing, coding, collections, claims, and revenue cycle optimization
- Manage human resources operations including benefits, contracts, performance reviews, and benefit administration
- Direct real estate and facilities strategy, including leases, renovations, and capital projects
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, OSHA, AAAHC, and state reporting requirements
- Serve as a strategic partner to physicians and the board on growth initiatives and long-term planning
- Oversee multi-entity operations across ENT, surgery center, audiology, and real estate businesses
What We’re Looking For:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 5–7 years of experience in healthcare operations, finance, or executive administration
- Proven leadership in multi-entity or multi-site environments
- Strong financial, analytical, and strategic planning skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal ability
- Proficiency with financial systems, HR platforms, and Microsoft Office
Preferred:
- ·MBA or advanced degree
- Experience with ENT practices, ambulatory surgery centers, or ancillary services
- Success leading payer contract negotiations and reimbursement strategy
- Experience in physician-owned practices
- Knowledge of healthcare real estate and facilities management

Six-figure salary (negotiable based on experience) annual bonus
