Laboratory/ Pre-treatment Technician
Technicians perform physical, chemical, and bacteriological analyses on wastewater and other samples to support process evaluation, ensure compliance with water quality standards, and monitor water quality in the Blackstone River. Duties include collection of wastewater and other samples, preparing reagents and glassware, use of laboratory instrumentation, and entering laboratory results into a database or spreadsheet program. The position also involves assisting the industrial pre-treatment program with sampling events and inspections at local industries. An associate's degree related to environmental science or related studies is required. A bachelor's degree is preferred. Prior work in laboratory environment is required. Candidates with previous experience working in a wastewater or pre-treatment-related capacity are encouraged to apply. This is a full-time position – some weekends and holidays are required. ($26.97-$34.31 / hour)
