UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital is seeking a Full Time Surgical Scheduling Coordinator to support Surgical Services West Mifflin!
This position will work daylight hours Monday through Friday. This role works rotating 8 and 10 hour shifts starting from 6am to 8am. Hours are subject to change based on business needs.
The Surgical Scheduling Coordinator schedules all surgical procedures for the surgical services department (excluding the GI Lab).
Responsibilities:
- Make corrections from previous day in software.
- Print schedule and distribute to appropriate departments.
- Maintain daily communication with OR Unit Director.
- Choose and print appropriate preference cards for daily procedures.
- Communicate changes in schedule with appropriate department.
- Ensure accurate organization of surgical schedule.
- Communicate with physician offices related to scheduling process.
- Maintain block scheduling as appropriate.
